Privacy Policy

Torellio is a free crossword generator. We do not require an account. We do not sell your data. We log only what is needed to run the service and serve relevant ads. That's it.

• Themes you submit. When you type a theme, we send it to Google Gemini to generate words and clues, and store the result so future requests for the same theme are instant.
• Generated puzzles. Each puzzle gets a short, random URL so you can share it. The puzzle theme, layout, and clues are stored against that URL.
• Standard server logs. IP address, user agent, and the page you requested. Used to debug and prevent abuse. Rotated regularly.

• Names, emails, or any account information — there are no accounts.
• Your solving progress, time, or answers. Everything you type into the grid stays in your browser.
• Anything from your browsing history outside of Torellio.

• Google Gemini API.Your theme text is sent to Google to generate words. Subject to Google's API terms.
• Supabase. Hosts the cache of themes and saved puzzles.
• Google AdSense. Displays ads. AdSense uses cookies to serve ads relevant to you. You can opt out of personalised ads at adssettings.google.com.
• Cloudflare. Provides hosting and DDoS protection.

Torellio itself sets no cookies. Google AdSense may set advertising cookies — your browser's cookie controls decide whether they are stored.

Torellio is suitable for general audiences but is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

If you generated a puzzle on a shareable URL and want it deleted, email the address below with the URL and we'll remove it.
